Privacy notice
Edition of 23 October 2026
1. Who processes your data
Your personal data are processed by me — Iurii Gusev (Гусев Юрий Дмитриевич), Individual Entrepreneur registered in the Republic of Armenia, state registration No. 286.1605908 of 28 August 2026.
Address: Zavaryan St. 1A, apt. 10, Yerevan 0018, Republic of Armenia.
Phone: +374 55 835 398. E-mail: yuriy@gusevpiano.com.
The studio's name, Yuriy Gusev Piano Studio, uses another spelling of the same name.
I am the "processor of personal data" within the meaning of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Protection of Personal Data" (HO-49-N). This notice follows that law.
2. The enquiry form: what I receive and why
When you send the form on this site, I receive:
- your name;
- your phone number;
- your e-mail address and your message, if you give them;
- the page of the site the form was sent from, the date and time, and your IP address (these three are recorded automatically).
Your name and phone number are required: the form is not sent without them. The e-mail address and the message are optional. If you prefer not to give your phone number, you can write to me by e-mail instead.
I use these data for one purpose: to answer you and to arrange a consultation or lessons. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by sending the form, as the notice placed next to the form says (HO-49-N, Articles 8, 9 and 10).
What is done with the data: they are collected, recorded, stored, used to contact you, passed to the service providers named in section 3, and deleted.
If you call or write instead — by phone, by e-mail, or in one of the messengers or social networks named on this site — I use what you send for the same purpose. The provider of the messenger or social network also handles your messages, under its own terms.
3. Where the data go
The form's entry is first written to a log on the site's web server. The server is rented from DigitalOcean (a company in the USA) and stands in a data centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The entry is then sent to me as an e-mail through the delivery service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) and arrives in my mailbox at Google Workspace (Google; its data centres are in the United States and other countries). These three providers are the only ones the form itself sends your data to.
By sending the form you agree to this route, including the transfer of your data to these providers outside Armenia (HO-49-N, Article 27(1)).
4. How long the data are kept, and how to withdraw your consent
I keep enquiries for no longer than 12 months after your last contact with me, or until you ask me to delete them — whichever comes first. After that the log entry and the e-mails are deleted.
Your consent is valid for the same period. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to yuriy@gusevpiano.com. I then stop using your data and delete them within 10 working days, and confirm this to you. After that I can no longer reply to your enquiry.
5. If you become a student
If we agree on lessons, I also use: your name and contact details; your user name in the messenger or video-call application we use; the schedule of lessons and my notes on them; and records of payments. For a student under 16 the lessons are agreed with a parent or another legal representative, who gives me the child's name and age and their own contact details (HO-49-N, Article 9(9)).
I use these data to give the lessons and to settle payments with you. The basis is our agreement on lessons (HO-49-N, Article 9(4)(2)). If you arrange or pay for lessons for another person, I also use the name and contact details you give me for that person, for the same purpose.
Online lessons are held by video call in an application we agree on (for example, Zoom); its provider handles the connection under its own terms. I record a lesson only rarely, and never without your consent.
I keep these data while lessons continue and for 3 years after the last lesson, unless a law requires particular records to be kept longer.
6. Photos, videos and reviews of students
The site shows photos and videos of students and quotes from reviews by students and parents, signed with a first name. I publish the photos and videos of adult students with their consent (HO-49-N, Article 9). Photos of a student under 16 are published with the consent of a parent (Article 9(9)).
Where a quote comes from a review that the student or parent published on profi.ru or avito.ru, the source is linked under the quote; such reviews are publicly available data (Article 11).
These files are stored on the same web server in the Netherlands. Copies of the site's files, including these photos and videos, are also kept in a private code repository at GitHub (USA).
If you are shown or quoted here, you may withdraw your consent or ask me to remove your material at any time: write to yuriy@gusevpiano.com. I remove it from wherever I have published it within 10 working days at most, and sooner where I can; if you withdraw your consent, I also stop using and delete the other copies I hold, as the law requires (Articles 9(3), 11(2) and 21(6)).
7. The map, cookies and links
This site's own code sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser's storage and uses no visitor counters or analytics.
One element comes from another company. The pages that show where the studio is (the home page, the contact page and the pages for adults, for children and for professionals) contain an embedded Google map. When the map comes into view, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.
Links on the site — to messengers, social networks and review platforms — lead to other websites and applications. Once you open them, their own rules apply.
8. Your rights
You may:
- ask what data about you I hold, for what purpose and how they are processed, where they came from, who receives them and how long they are kept. I answer a written request within 5 days (HO-49-N, Articles 15 and 20);
- ask me to correct, block or delete your data if they are incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, unlawfully obtained or not needed for the purpose (Article 15);
- withdraw your consent (Article 9(3)) — see section 4;
- complain to the supervisory body or to a court if you think your rights have been infringed (Article 17).
All of this is free of charge.
Supervisory body: Personal Data Protection Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Komitas 54b, Yerevan 0051.
9. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies to the way I handle your data, you have the rights those laws give you — access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent — and you may complain to the data-protection authority of your country (in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office). I rely on your consent and on the steps you ask me to take before a contract.
10. Security and changes
The site works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The log of enquiries is kept outside the publicly accessible part of the web server.
If a breach affects your data, I will announce it without delay and report it to the Police and to the Agency, as the law requires (HO-49-N, Article 21(4)).
When this notice changes, the new edition is published on this page with its date.
